A Comprehensive Review and Analytical Comparison of Non-Isolated DC-DC Converters for Fuel Cell Applications

The use of renewable energy sources such as solar photovoltaic, wind, and fuel cells is becoming increasingly prevalent due to a combination environmental concerns technological advancements, well decreasing production costs. Power electronics DC-DC converters play key role in various applications, including hybrid systems, vehicles, aerospace, satellite portable electronic devices. These are used convert power from meet the demands load, improving dynamic steady-state performance green generation systems. This study presents comparison most commonly non-isolated for cell applications. important factors considered include voltage gain ratio, switch stress, ripple, efficiency, cost, ease implementation. Based on results, have been grouped according level with low applications being best served by DBC, DuBC, TLBC, 2-IBC, 1st M-IBC, PSOL, SEPIC, M-SEPIC owing their lower smaller size, reduced stress. Medium suited TBC, M-TLBC, 2nd 4-IBC, M-PSOL, M-SEPIC, which offer higher efficiency. Finally, high M-TBC, 3rd 4th M-SEPIC.
